报告题目: POWER-AWARE ROTARY TRAVELING WAVE OSCILLATOR (RTWO)  DESIGN  IN 0.18μm  CMOS

报告内容简介:
Wireless communication has advanced rapidly in last decade. Multiphase signal has broad applications in advanced circuit technology. Rotary Travelling Wave Oscillators (RTWOs) has the potential to generate signals with unlimited phases. RTWO represents a transmission line based technology for signal generation providing low skew, low phase noise and multiphase. Primary focuses are tuning range, phase noise and power consumption. Multiple topology variations have been simulated in Agilent ADS and Cadence Spectre. RTWOs with frequencies between 2 GHz and 12 GHz were fabricated in IBM 0.18um CMOS technology.  
报告人简介:
Zhijian Xie (M’ 01) was born in Jilin, China in 1969. He obtained B.S and M.S. in Solid State Physics from University of Science and Technology of China and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, USA in 2001. He is an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, Greensboro, NC. Prior to joining NC A&T State University, he had worked eight years in semiconductor industry, including DSM Solutions Inc(now SuVolta Inc.), RF Micro Devices Inc., and Agere systems Inc in the field of semiconductor and RF devices. Dr. Xie has over 30 publications including journal articles, conference presentations and proceedings. He has 3 award patent and current serves as Chapter Chair in IEEE Central North Carolina MTT/ED/SSC Joint Society Chapter.
